my inspiration…..
”..is a red scrappy quilt (above) made by great-grandmother Martha Hubbart Mills, in which she cut up her old house dresses to make the quilt squares. When I was young , I remembered the dresses. I took that quilt everywhere.” Kim Freeman
As an avid thrifter at estate sales and flea markets, I embraced her reuse mentality. I began my quilting journey, 31 years ago, using scraps and repurposed fabric . The Scrappy Strip Quilt tops are made by me.
